Counsellors, volunteers and program administrators working in the addictions field.

Program/Service Description

• offers a Community Addictions Training series for basic training in alcohol and other drug counselling skills
• offers an Advanced Counsellor Training series for further training in counselling skills and knowledge
• offers Program Management training for office and managerial skills
• offers other training such as Family Violence and Adult Children of Alcoholics, where participants learn to explore their own attitudes and issues
• offers a Community Wellness Certificate program
• offers an Aboriginal Addictions Services Certificate and Diploma program
• leads and/or assists in co-ordinating conferences and National Addictions Awareness Week
• provides research in addictions training and treatment issues
• develops innovative, customized training for special community needs not addressed by regular training programs (on request from interested groups)
